Katie received a BA in Studio Art from the University of Virginia. She taught middle school art before staying home to raise her three daughters. When she can find a quiet moment, Katie enjoys working with pen and watercolor. Many things distract me on a daily basis, but I continually return to the simple pleasures of just making art. As a stay at home mom, I relish the quiet escape of my studio. I love the crisp black and white of a pen and ink drawing, and I adore the bright colors of my watercolor palette. It waits for me, whether I have five hours or five minutes.
